The route for the Light Walk stretches for more than 2kms from The Rocks to the Sydney Opera House and through the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. Vivid Sydney includes major projections and installations at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Customs House and the ASN Co. heritage building in The Rocks.
VIEW FROM THE COSMOS
The installations on the western side of Circular Quay include two spectacular works that take you far above the earth and into the cosmos. Projected onto the Southern Pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (and best seen from across the water at East Circular Quay) is EORA – Dark Emu, a story told through Bangarra Dance Theatre’s unique physical language. EORA – Dark Emu explores the legend of the Spirit Emu, who left the earth thousands of years ago to reside in the Milky Way.
DYNAMIC GEOMETRY
Geometric forms attract big crowds at Vivid Sydney as artists turn them from static objects to 3D canvases or decorative light patterns that dance, twirl, link up and turn upside down.
From its location in East Circular Quay, Visible Dynamics delivers its take on a child’s stacking toy by connecting different geometric shapes, which light up and spin, inciting childlike wonder; meanwhile Fragmented is an illuminated steel cube that creates an infinite variety of coloured patterns as it gently spins before the crowd. Nearby, the hollow cube of The Space Arena combines latest LED and 3D technology to create a new type ofpublic performance and exhibition space.
While in Circular Quay see Snugglepot and Cuddlepie at Customs House
Vivid Sydney returns in 2018 with a spectacular new precinct at Luna Park, the return of much-loved Customs House, and a fantastical blend of everyday objects and Australian-inspired motifs on the sails of the Sydney Opera House.
Popular precincts Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour, Chatswood, Barangaroo and Kings Cross will return in 2018.

My 2 year old Nexus 6P had a dying battery - I really like the phone and didn't particularly want to upgrade yet. After a bit of research and talking to local repairers, I decided to to send it to David and the team here for a battery replacement. Initial conversation via the web-chat worked well and explained the process - price was reasonable. They received it on Wednesday last week, turned the job around the same day and it was back with me, by express post on Friday. They had one minor issue - they left out the sim tray - but they noticed it immediately, notified me by email and sent it in a separate express post envelope so that it arrived the same day. The quality of the work that they did is superb - they cleaned the phone (including the USB-C socket that gets filled with gunk) and I can't see a single scratch or pry mark on the case where they opened in. Excellent service. I managed to drop my Google Pixel twice in two days and broke the front and back glass panels. No local repair shop was able to fix the back panel so I used the mail in service. These guys fixed the front glass and replaced the back case on the phone so it looks brand new, and for only $80 more than I was quoted by other shops to replace the front glass only.
